Payment Policy

1. About This Policy

This policy explains how payments for DevForge are taken. The seller is Iron Cortex LTD (Company Number 16889774), a company registered in the United Kingdom with registered office at Academy House 11 Dunraven Place, Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, CF31 1JF, United Kingdom.

2. Payment Methods

3. How Card Payments Are Handled

  • You enter your card details in our checkout; they are passed straight to our payment processor and we do not store them. We keep only the payment status, amount, currency and the processor's payment reference.
  • Payment pages are served over HTTPS (TLS)
  • Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment with 3-D Secure

By paying you confirm you are authorised to use the card and authorise us to charge the amount shown.

4. How Funds Are Held (Expert Payouts)

DevForge is a two-sided marketplace: customer payments are collected by our payment processor into our own account and converted into account credits. Experts are paid separately from customer payments: after their identity and payout details are checked, by bank transfer, once an administrator approves the payout. The amount and timing for each assignment are agreed with the expert in writing before they accept it. Between a customer's payment and an expert's payout, the funds are held and administered by Iron Cortex LTD, not by our payment processor or any other third party. We are not, and do not represent ourselves to be, an authorised payment institution or e-money issuer.

5. Pricing and Currency

You pay in the currency you select. Prices can be shown and charged in: Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD), British Pound (GBP), Saudi Riyal (SAR), Moroccan Dirham (MAD), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR), Azerbaijani Manat (AZN), Kazakhstani Tenge (KZT), Chilean Peso (CLP), South African Rand (ZAR), Brazilian Real (BRL), Argentine Peso (ARS), Kyrgyzstani Som (KGS). Prices are set in euros and converted at live exchange rates refreshed once every 24 hours (if the rate service is unavailable, the last rates we received stay in use). The same rates set both the price shown and the amount charged. Converted amounts under 20 are shown exactly; above that they are rounded to the nearest 1, 5 or 10 depending on size. If your card is in a different currency from the one you pay in, your bank may apply its own conversion. The amount shown on the Pay button is the total we charge, and price changes never affect credits you have already bought.

6. Credits

Credits are sold as one-time purchases; there are no subscriptions.

  • Starter Bundle: 500 credits for €100.00
  • Growth Bundle: 2,750 credits for €499.00
  • Professional Bundle: 11,500 credits for €1,999.00
  • Custom amount: any sum from €1.00 to €20,000.00, or the equivalent in the currency you selected (the checkout shows the exact range in your currency), charged exactly as entered and priced on the same scale as the bundles
  • Credits are bought in advance. At the Starter rate 5 credits cost €1 (500 credits for €100); larger bundles and larger custom amounts lower the price per credit.
  • Credits are taken from your balance when you submit a project or confirm a specialist request, never before.
  • Credits are non-transferable and never expire
  • Unused credits are refundable if you ask within 14 days of buying them. Credits already spent on a project are not refundable. Credits never expire, so unspent credits stay in your balance after the 14 days. See our Refund Policy.

7. Purchase Records

Every credit purchase and credit movement is listed in your account dashboard.

8. Failed Payments

If a payment fails or is declined, the payment screen tells you straight away, no credits are added and nothing is charged. You can try again with the same or another card.

9. Fraud Prevention

  • We do not accept payments with a billing address in the countries listed in our Terms & Conditions
  • Suspicious payments may be held or refused
  • We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing a payment we believe may be fraudulent

10. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact us before starting a chargeback; we will work to resolve payment issues quickly. Accounts with chargebacks may be suspended while the chargeback is resolved, and we may dispute chargebacks we believe are unwarranted.
